2007 Great Race
John Bender and Tom Boone will once again participate in the
annual GREAT RACE. The 25th Anniversary GREAT RACE will start in Concord,
North Carolina, on June 30 and finish in Southern California, on July 14, 2007.
GREAT AMERICAN RACE 2007 is a two-week, 4,000 mile, coast-to-coast race for
classic cars, muscle cars, hot rods and alternative fuel-powered vehicles.
John and Tom participated in the 2006 race in a 1957 Buick Century Convertible.
This year they will be driving a 1928 Model A Speedster. To follow John

Builder Show
2007
The 2007 Bender Lumber Builder Show was held February 17th at
the Bloomington Convention Center. The event consisted of over 40 of the
industry's top suppliers and several fun games. The 2007 show brought in
more customers than any previous show. Attendance was almost 600. We
would like to welcome you to enjoy some photos we took at the 2007 Bender
Lumber Builder Show. The 2008 Show will be held February 16, 2008.

Linton Grand Opening
The new Linton store Grand Opening was Saturday, May 3, 2008.
"I would like to thank my employees for their
hard work, dedication, and for a job well done for our Grand Opening. We
had a great turnout, and I believe they are due a big thanks. Also, thanks
to Dirk Cooper for being the Chef of the Day!"

2007 Carb Day at
the Indy 500
Area contractors from Bloomington, Martinsville, Bedford and Seymour/Columbus
were the guests of Bender Lumber and Andersen Windows at the Andersen Suite for
Carb Day at the Indianapolis 500 on May 25.
All 33 qualified cars practiced during the day, and the Freedom 100 Indy Pro
Series Race was run in the afternoon. The afternoon finished with a Kid Rock
concert. Great weather and hospitality made this a memorable event for all of
Bender's guests.
3rd Annual Company Picnic
Bender Lumber Company, an employee owned company, held its
third annual company picnic on July 22, 2007 at Spring Mill State Park.
All Bender
employees were invited to enjoy this fun filled day with family and friends.
The festivities included a lunch hot off the grill and activities for the whole
family to enjoy.
